As sales of electric vehicles continue to rise, so too does the public’s demand for reliable and fast EV charging stations.

Here’s our list of level 2 (moderate) and level 3 (fast) chargers currently available in Wollongong, Shellharbour and surrounds.

For more locations and information, see Transport for NSW’s EV charging map. When charging your EV, fees may apply.

There are more EV fast chargers DC (level 3) planned for the Illawarra, including three DC chargers within the P8 (Unicentre) carpark at the UOW campus.

The EV charging infrastructure remains very much a work in progress throughout Australia. In the two years that I’ve been involved in the testing and reviewing of EVs, I’ve found that charging stations are frequently broken/non-functional, offline (for maintenance purposes) or, worse still, the parking space allocated to an EV for charging has been taken by the inconsiderate driver of a conventional vehicle.

Good luck!
