How journalism has changed: ‘Pandemedia’ authors share their story

By the staff at Collins Booksellers Thirroul

In order to best look after our diverse customer base, we try to provide a wide range of books and events.

So this Father’s Day, no matter where his passions and interests lie, there’s a book for your father figure in our store. Music, sport, science, gardening, art, current affairs, politics – you’ll easily find that special book to make his day a little brighter.

This month we have an event for news buffs on Wednesday 13th at Ryan’s. Award-winning journalist Erin O’Dwyer will lead the discussion with ABC’s Tracey Kirkland and Gavin Fang on their new book, Pandemedia, looking at news media in Australia, how journalism has changed and what the future might look like.

On Sunday 10th we are happy to celebrate the new memoir from Margaret Reeve, Illawarra’s own living legend of the dance floor. Meet the author and enjoy a glass of champagne in the bookstore between 2.30-3.30.

Finally, for this month’s Pages & Pints Book Club is on Thursday 21st when we’ll be discussing Mark Brandi’s Southern Aurora.
