Wednesday 16th Poetry at the Pub launching new books from David Stavanger and Ali Jane Smith. Also appearing will be Joseph Schwarztkopf Jr, Nicole Smede and special guest, Hasib Hourani. On Thursday 17th Jerry’s back for Easter! Ellie & her pet bunny Jerry will be reading Easter stories for little ones at 10am in the bookshop.
Lastly, for adults interested in history, politics or just amazing stories, come along on Wednesday 30th for the local launch of ANTI-FASCISTS: Jim McNeill and his mates in the Spanish Civil War. Stephen Jones MP and author Michael Samaras will be discussing Michael’s new book about the Australians who joined the Spanish Resistance to fight against Franco. These men and women were Australia’s pioneers against fascism and their stories will make for a fascinating evening.
