Motorists are advised of a road closure on Lawrence Hargrave Drive for one night next week for routine maintenance work. 

Work includes vegetation maintenance, clearing gutters and drains, maintenance of guardrails and litter collection to improve safety for motorists. 

Work will be carried out between Stonehaven Road at Stanwell Tops and Chellow Dene Avenue in Stanwell Park between 8pm and 4am on Monday 28 August, weather permitting.

Detours will be in place via the M1 Princes Motorway and Bulli Pass as well as Otford Road and Walker Street. 

Motorists should allow up to 20 minutes additional travel time and are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

Night work on M1 Princes Motorway

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions next week on the M1 Princes Motorway between Memorial Drive at North Wollongong and Masters Road at Figtree. Work includes general maintenance, clearing drains and trimming vegetation to improve safety.

Work will be carried out on both the northbound and southbound lanes for four nights between 8pm and 4am from Monday 28 August to Thursday 31 August, weather permitting. 

There will be intermittent closures of the on and off ramps on the M1 Princes Motorway between Memorial Drive and Masters Road which will be signposted.

Traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.

Motorists are advised to follow the direction of traffic control should allow up to five minutes additional travel time.
