Buena Vista's On Farm Workshops

Gerringong's Buena Vista family farm has been running cooking workshops for 10 years, all based around their passion for from-scratch food and wholefood cooking. Workshops on offer include lessons in sourdough baking, ferments and probiotics, and cheesemaking. 

As well as these classes, farmer Fiona Weir Walmsley offers a hands-on, six-hour 'From Scratch' workshop featuring foods that once were commonly made in everyday kitchens. Fiona is also the author of From Scratch the book, a beautifully presented and practical guide to making your own staples.

Last year, ahead of her talk with the ABC's Nick Rheinberger at 2023's True Story Festival, Fiona shared three great recipes for Chicken Bone Broth, Red Lentil Dahl, and Simple Butter Cake.
