On Sunday, cyclists will be taking on the 54km or 82km course in Australia's most epic charity cycling event, from Sydney to Wollongong. The ride of a lifetime raises funds ton help fight multiple sclerosis.
The route takes in the stunning natural beauty of the Royal National Park, the incredible ocean view from Stanwell Tops, the breathtaking Sea Cliff Bridge, before crossing the finish line in Wollongong, amongst a backdrop of surf, sun and sand.
Transport for NSW says up to 10,000 cyclists are expected to take part. The 82km course starts from Tempe and the 54km ride starts from Engadine with both courses finishing at Lang Park in Wollongong.
For the majority of the course, riders will be sharing roads with general traffic. Along key sections of the ride, some road closures, lane closures, special event clearways and speed reductions will be in place for the safety of the riders. Allow extra travel time as traffic may be heavier than usual, you can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com
