Ready to get moving, meet new people, and enjoy the fresh air? Join Healthy Cities FREE, non-competitive Age-Friendly 3×3 program! Designed for all fitness levels and abilities, this weekly walking group focuses on movement, wellbeing, and connection.
What to Expect:
✔️ A relaxed 3km walk (or a comfortable distance) along a scenic route
✔️ A morning tea break at the halfway point
✔️ An optional light exercise session each week to promote strength, balance, and flexibility
✔️ Friendly Health Promotion Officers and volunteers to guide and support you
When & Where?
Join us for three consecutive Tuesday mornings in May 2025 meeting at the North Beach Surf life saving club.
- Tuesday, 6 May | 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM Introduction to the Urban Fit Outdoor Gym – Guided by a Health Promotion Officer, learn how to safely use the equipment for strength, flexibility, and balance and take home a resistance band for ongoing fitness!
- Tuesday, 13 May | 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM Tai Chi for Balance & Relaxation – A gentle session to promote mobility and mindfulness.
- Tuesday, 20 May | 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM Final Community Walk & Nutrition for healthy ageing discussion- Join our dietician for a discussion around what foods to eat as we age.
Walking Route: We’ll meet at North Beach Surf Club at 10:00 AM and follow the Blue Mile path to Lang Park Outdoor Beach gym. After a midpoint morning tea stop, we’ll enjoy an optional light exercise session before returning (total walk: 3.5km). Sign up here.
