Keiraville CWA supports local schools

By Marion Cook, Keiraville CWA publicity officer

Last month a few of our Keiraville CWA members spent the morning covering books at Keiraville Public School library.

Throughout the year we have helped at Keiraville Public School, St Brigid's Catholic primary school in Gwynneville, Bulli Public School, Gwynneville Public School and at Kindy Korner preschool in Balgownie. CWA members help out in craft and cookery sessions, and visit schools on grandparents and friends days.

In December, we will be attending presentation days at Keiraville, Gwynneville and St Brigid's schools and awarding citizenship awards on behalf of the Keiraville CWA.

We are committed to helping the community in as many ways that we can.

At the council elections in September we held a stall at Keiraville Public School. We’ve made school scrunchies for their P&C and boomerang bags for library bags at several schools.

Recent outings have been to the Sydney Opera House and to Neutral Bay’s Nutcote, home of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie author May Gibbs.

Looking to join a friendly group in 2025? Keiraville CWA meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month; please ring ahead and chat to branch president Liz Corfield on 4285 8121. Follow the group on Facebook.
