The Helensburgh and District Probus Club made Barry Mellier a life member of the club on Thursday, April 11. Barry was a foundation member of the club and has participated actively in all the club activities.
The monthly talk was given by a Wollongong City Council staff member on recycling.
An important fact provided was that shredded paper should be placed in a brown paper bag before being put in the recycling bin. This is because the recycled matter is sorted on a conveyor belt. Shredded paper floats about like confetti if it is not in a paper bag.
Our club meets on the second Thursday of the month at 10.30am at the Helensburgh Tradies club.
