Northern Illawarra Neighbour Aid Inc.

Northern Illawarra Neighbour Aid (NINA) is a locally based community organisation that supports seniors to remain independent in their own home by providing social support activities, meals on wheels and transport support.

Funded by both federal and state governments NINA can provide individual transport for Commonwealth Home Support Program clients, AND local residents that find themselves “Transport Challenged”.

Social activities weekly including weekly shopping trips, lunch and day trips fortnightly, craft groups, card and chess groups and social catch up morning teas. Individual social support for those who are house bound and just want someone to come and have a cup of tea with. Activity costs are subsidised through our funding, so client contribution is a small one.

NINA is a volunteer-led organisation that rely’ s heavily on the community spirit and generosity of local people. New volunteers are always welcome.

NINA operates from Helensburgh to Thirroul and is always keen to talk about new opportunities and new activities to offer people.
